Midah K'neged Midah

I am reading Arutz-7 now, and I had an eppiphany.

Whenever something bad happens, we always ask, how could HaShem do this? Well, I have a thought for Katrina.

Many people said that disengagement was assur (prohibited) from the Torah, yet it happened anyway. Maybe, HaShem decreed that Katrina should be midah k'neged midah (measure for measure) for the Disengagement, you made people leave their homes without reason, so I'm going to make people leave their homes.

What do you think? Comments...

(I obviously have no idea what The Lord is thinking, I'm just speculating...)

Thats a thought, but the people in New Orleans had nothing to do with Gaza. Why would HaShem punish people half a world away?
And if this was punishment, then was the tsunami a warning?

i never said i was right, but it could be a possibility....

well, we dont know if the ppl in NO had nothing to do with aza, maybe they did. but even if they didnt, the Lord doesn't need a reason for each place. it could be that maybe he thought the city didnt deserve to survive (i mean, come on, that whole mardi gras thing, doesnt really agree with The Lord if you know what i mean).

again, im not saying im right, i could be 100% wrong, but hey, you never know.

and about the tsunami, so maybe it could have been a warning. it could have been its own thing. kabbalists (real ones, real talmidei chachamim that we can trust they know what theyre talking about) said that its part of the cycle before maschiach comes. katrina could be too. who knows?

Yea I deffinitly think G-d decided to get even by killing thousands of black poor people who couldn't afford to evacuate. These people are the real movers and shakers in the political world who decided to put pressure on Israel to abandon Gaza.

I can't point our the foolishness of your thoughts? So I could say "just a thought but maybe we should kill all the black people" and not be held acountable because it's "just a thought." And in your original post you asked for what we thought and that's what I think.

you can point out the weaknesses dani. you can only point out foolishness when one says that theyre right 1000% and no one else can be right. AGAIN, i never said i was right, i could be TOTALLY wrong and im ok with that cuz i know im not HaShem and we cant rationalize, but agian, its just a thought.

and i never said kill all black ppl. i like african americans. why is it that you're concentrating only them anyway? there are more than just black ppl in NO. there are 12000 jews, and a hell of a lot more non jews, who arent black.

It was an example you moron! I could have said purple people! It was to show how someone can criticize something you say even if you preface it with "just a thought" (geez do i need to spell out everything out for you?)
