Shabbos In West Hempstead

So we got a ride from Hillel Davis, the Vice President of YU. That was cool. So he told us to meet him in Parking Lot B at 200, which is right next to Furst. So we got there at like, 202, and he got there around 210. Whatever, it wasn't so bad. He has a nice car, a Montero, and leather seats. And even though it was in the sun, and the seats were kinda hot, I didn't care--it was a nice car and it smelled gooo-o-o-od. So we got to Chaim's house at like, 300. So we put our stuff down, he gave us a tour of his house--mostly his farm in the backyard. You know, his geese, ducks, quails, ducks running around, etc., you know...
Then we helped Pesha with the food. I washed the chicken pieces, then I made brownies! WEEEE! Yeah brownies!! YEAH BROWNIES!! Then I made the mustard chicken for the chicken salad. It was fun. So I showered, and the 7th grs came, so we shmoozed a little bit. It was fun. We went to Young Israel, came back, ate, then learned Gittin, perek 7, because the kids (3 of Chaim's 7th graders were at his house also for shabbos) asking about sheidim, and so he said over to them the agadita about Shlomo HaMelech getting the Shamir to build the Beis HaMikdash, and about Ashmeddai, and him throwing Shlomo halfway across the world...etc., you know the story...and then we went to sleep. Then I woke up at like, 830, davened at HANC, and they had an AWESOME hot kiddush, chulent, potato kugel...oh boy, it was SOOO geshmak. Then we came home, had MROE chulent, potato kugel, carrot kugel, good stuff. Then slept for 2 hrs, then played Apples to Apples. Wow, great game. Then we went to R' Kupchick's house and played...more Apples to Apples. WEEEE! He's the principal of HAFTR middle school. He had me figured out. I picked his card so many times. And when I didn't, I was able to figure out which card was his. But then I had him figured out, so it wasn't SO bad. Chaim won with like, 17 cards, it was ridiculous. Then we davened Mincha in someone's basement, went back to his house for "shaloshudes," then YI for Maariv. Nice Shabbos. But then we had to take the subway back to YU...oh well. Whatever. But it was fun.

Yeah West Hempstead!
