Middah K'negged Middah...?

1. PA Farmers in Gaza: How Do Those Israelis Do It?
By Hillel Fendel

After years of producing bug-free lettuce and other vegetables for Jewish farmers, the sands of Gaza have reverted to their old ways. PA farmers report failure in keeping the bugs away.

The Gaza Arabs who have taken over the hothouses of what used to be Gush Katif reported to the Israel-PA Coordination Office that they have failed in raising bug-free vegetables...

Actually, i don'tthink it's hilarious. There are still innocent women and children that need to feed off of that food. We might not think highly of these people, but we are not supposed to take joy in their tzarot. You remember Kri'at Yam Suf, right? And the shira, right? Also, Hashem gave us the land in the first place. He saw fit to take away from us, this time. His giving it to them makes no difference about their farming skills. Think about that. It could be a nais. Somewhere in the mikraot g'dolot i remember learning that depending on the level of emunah of the B"Y during the years of planting around the Shmita/Yovel years, the nisyonot varied as well. The less emuna, the bigger the nais. It was an emuna-booster. Well, maybe here HKB"H is using 'nisyonot' the other way for the Arabs. That doesn't mean we have to laugh at them and call them stupid. They're not. Forthe most part, they're just trying to make a buck. To make it worse, their own people are treating them worse than we treated them. To me, that's a double reason not to laugh at their tests. Avraham had 10 tests, and nobody laughs at him. You try having to kill your own child. You try having to walk through fire. You try leaving all your sh*t behind, and going, penniless, where the f#@king voices in your head tell you to go. You try it. I DARE YOU. THEN, and *ONLY* then you tell me that trying to grow bug-free food to feed your family if funny. i HAVE a child. i could never think of giving him up for ANYTHING, most of all giving him over to G-d. I DID LEAVE A PLACE PENNILESS, and went where the voices in my head told me to go. i even had a wife at the time. That's how i ended up in Albany. Now, i have a job, a house, and a child. You, being 18, young, *penniless*, and single, should try it. You might have an easier time.

What i'm trying to say is... don't laugh at other people's tests from Hashem.
