Pluto Sent Down To Minors

Apprently, Pluto isn't a planet anymore.

I don't really get it. So what if it's dead and it doesn't do anything? It should still be officially a planet.
I think why it's so hard for me to accept this, is because we learn in nursery, there are 9 planets in the solar system. Everyone knows the song. 9 planets. You don't excpet that number to change. You don't learn it thinking that they're ever going to lessen this number. Maximize maybe, but never lessen. Like what, they're actually going to demote a planet? Come on....As Mark Newman says in the article I give you below, "It will be hard for some people to imagine Pluto off the roster."

For a more, shall we say, baseball spin on it, you can click here.

Its becuase Pluto "has not cleared the neighborhood around its orbit, and is not a satellite."
In other word since its orbit crosses neptunes, it is out.
But then doesnt that exclude Neptune also because logically if Plutos orbit crosses Neptunes, the Neptunes has crossed Pluto's?

And if Pluto is now a dwarf planet does that mean snow white went to live with 8 dwarves when she ran away?
