Long TIme No Post

I know it's been a loong time since I posted last, but it's hard, I don't have a lot of free time to just sit down and write. I wish I did, but hey, that's life. I don't really have time no either -- it's 1200 AM and I have to get to sleep soon, but I'll just say a few things before I go to bed.
Basic training went by really fast I have to say. First it's the end of April, going down to the shetach (field) for the first time for a whole week of shooting range, and then the time just ZOOMS by and now I'm in advanced training with a different gun than with I started (my M4 sharpshooting gun), my Duchifat March 07 dogtag cover, and last but definitely not least, my new barret which I got last week (the new camouflage one they just brought into Tzahal about a year and a half ago). I'm in it, I'm in the army, I know what I'm doing, and it's great. I was thinking yesterday how it was the first day of the army, not knowing ANYTHING that goes around, trying to feel my way through it, and actually succeeding. Just taking one day at a time.

My mother was here for 2 weeks, from June 21 - July 3rd, that was fun. And I had my week vacation from July 2 - July 9, even funner. I hung out with Tzivia the entire time, taking her to a baseball game, going mini golfing, etc. good times, good times. In between and at the end were 2 masa'ot (our hikes), 27 km, and then the big one for the barret, 49. Did them both, however begrudgingly, and I got my barret because of it. A lot of time during the masa, I thought to myself, I'm walking 50 km for a piece of fabric? But yet, somehow I just kept going and going.

And what's to come? Our favorite (and by that I mean not), shetach, pretty much every week. We'll see how that goes.

Til next time, whenever that is...

But before I go, just one question:

Who's still reading this?
